So here's the deal, it's finally 2016 and I'm not sure if I'm the only one here who thinks that there's something wrong. Is it just me or this year's new year felt too dull? A little less special? And a little more of just your normal-ordinary-just-any-other-day new year? I hope it's just me because I won't want any of you to feel the bitterness I carry in starting another set of 365 days for this monkey year.
Yep, I knew I totally sounded like a egotistical sociopath who wakes up in the morning as a cat lady and stares at anyone like a mother freaking puppy killer.
I just couldn't help it, you know. There's a lot of things that happened when the year ended (things I just couldn't share, I'm sorry) that I just didn't know what to do with my life and how to actually handle myself. There's just so many things, so many bumpy awful things. But as you can see now, I'm writing this lively and it feels like there's something changed in me. Possibly because I want to savor each moment I have left before I turn twenTEEN, six months from now, and be positive.
Just be positive. And forget.
I must forget the bad things, learn from the horrible mistakes and continue to cherish the good ones that happened last 2015. Besides, I'm gonna graduate my degree this year.
Wait, I am?
Oh my god, I really am!
See? I'm positive. And I'm pretty sure that's all we need to do right now. For you people who met 2016 with a smile, keep it up. For those who struggled like me, I suggest we all live under a rock. Yes, I'm kidding. I hope this year will be much better than last year. No more bad vibes, we can all handle it.
So after being energized by my awesome lowdown, I've got a playlist I've been hooked to this past couple of days. There's no sad songs, melodramatic lyrics. I have for you, sass and optimism.
Because to be honest, that's just all we need.
